No-Bake Cookies 

1. 8 whole-wheat graham cracker squares, finely ground

2. 1/4 cup raisins

3. 1/4 cup smooth natural peanut butter

4. 2 tablespoons honey plus

5. 2 teaspoons honey

6. 4 tablespoons unsweetened coconut

 

2. Cooking Directions

1. Combine ground whole-wheat graham crackers, raisins, peanut butter and honey in a small bowl. Pat into 16 cookies and press lightly in coconut.

APPLE SQUARES By Donna Willette 

3 c. Flour 5-6 apples, peeled and sliced

1 c. shortening 2 c. sugar

1 egg 1 tsp. Cinnamon

1 tsp. Vinegar ½ c. flour

1/3 c. cold water

Mix flour and shortening together with pie fork. Add vinegar, egg, and water together. Pour into flour mixture. Mix as for pie dough. Divide in half. Roll out to fit 11 x 17 in pan.

Add sugar, cinnamon, and flour to apples. Mix together and pour in pan. Roll remaining dough out. Cut slits in this and top apples with dough. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake till brown, about 25-30 minutes at 375 degrees. While warm, frost with a powdered sugar, butter and vanilla icing.

If using green apples use 2 ½ c. sugar.

You don’t want to many apples.
